If you enjoy walking there are some fantastic walks in Cromford itself, (click here for five examples) and of course throughout the peak district. One of our guests advised us to recommend the Wayfarer travel ticket for keen walkers:

“You might care to mention on your website that Derbyshire County Council offers an excellent “Wayfarer” ticket which costs £8.90 per day, as you are close to the station, and public transport is generally quite good in the County, relative to the rural nature of the countryside. Some walkers appreciate the freedom afforded by public transport, and the rail routes to Matlock and New Mills are delightful.”
